Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)
- Arrive in Kathmandu, Nepal’s vibrant capital city. After airport pick-up, transfer to your hotel. The evening is free to explore the bustling streets of Thamel or rest before the start of the journey. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Sightseeing of Kathmandu
- Morning visit to Pashupatinath Temple, Gujeshwari Temple, and Budanilkantha Temple. Briefing about the program and packing for the journey.
Day 3: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,460m)
- Drive through lush green hills, rivers, and terraced farmlands to Syabrubesi, near the Tibetan border. Drive: 7-8 hours. Overnight in Syabrubesi.
Day 4: Syabrubesi to Kerung (2,700m)
- Cross the Nepal-Tibet border at Rasuwagadhi and drive to the Tibetan town of Kerung. Drive: 4-5 hours. Overnight in Kerung.
Day 5: Kerung to Saga (4,640m)
- Continue towards Saga, passing through high mountain passes with panoramic views of the Himalayas. Drive: 6-7 hours. Overnight in Saga.
Day 6: Acclimatization at Saga
Day 7: Saga to Lake Mansarovar (4,590m)
- Drive towards the sacred Lake Mansarovar. Enjoy a peaceful evening by the lake and, if desired, take a holy dip. Drive: 6-7 hours. Overnight near Lake Mansarovar.
Day 8: Lake Mansarovar to Darchen (4,575m)
- Morning prayers at Lake Mansarovar, then drive to Darchen, the base town for the Mount Kailash Kora. Drive: 2-3 hours. Overnight in Darchen.
Day 9: Mount Kailash Kora – Darchen to Dirapuk (4,900m)
- Begin the 3-day Kailash Kora, trekking to Dirapuk Monastery with the first close-up views of Mount Kailash. Trek: 13km, 5-6 hours. Overnight in Dirapuk guesthouse.
Day 10: Mount Kailash Kora – Dirapuk to Zuthulpuk via Dolma La Pass (5,636m)
- Cross Dolma La Pass, the highest point of the Kora. Descend past Gauri Kund and continue to Zuthulpuk Monastery. Trek: 22km, 8-9 hours. Overnight in Zuthulpuk guesthouse.
Day 11: Zuthulpuk to Darchen, Drive to Saga
- Complete the Kora, then drive back to Saga. Trek: 12km, 4-5 hours. Drive: 5-6 hours. Overnight in Saga.
Day 12: Saga to Kerung, Return to Kathmandu
- Drive back to the Nepal border and return to Kathmandu. Drive: 7-8 hours. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Pre-Departure Information:
Clothing: Casual wear and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Warm clothing is
essential for cold nights and mornings. Women are advised not to wear saris. A small first-aid
kit and personal items such as toiletries and medicines are recommended.
